A very much loved actor, comedian, and filmmaker once said “You’re only given one little spark of madness. You mustn’t lose it.” Recently this beloved hero has passed away. This is not a sad memorial blog in remembering Robin Williams, even though he will always be in our hearts. His life was full of energy, which was the type of energy that inspired the world with humor and creative thinking.
Elevant has always been inspired by Robin Williams since the days when he stood on the desks at Welton Academy Prep School. “CARPE DIEM” Was a main focus from John Keating (Robin Williams) while he taught these boys how to be an inspiration to the world. Seizing the day is an important key to focus when finding yourself. What makes you happy? What would you do if nothing was stopping you? Most importantly, what would you do if fear didn’t exist?
These questions are personal to every single person. Robin Williams believed in seizing the day and he accomplished that in his lifetime. He put smiles on everyones faces as he was dressed up as a woman, radio “shock jock”, genie, psychologist, and so much more.
We live in such a big world but we all have a spark of carpe diem that can simply inspire the world by doing what you love. “The powerful play goes on and you may only contribute a verse. What will your verse be?” Take this from Robin Williams and consider how you want to live in this world.
